Dress Code
We are so excited that you are here, and we want you to be comfortable. The dress code at Encounter Life Ministries is simple – wear something.
Worship
Worship is a big part of the identity of Encounter Life Ministries. It is not unusual for worship to feel different from week to week. You may see people standing, sitting, closing their eyes, raising their hands, reading their Bibles, drawing, or writing notes. People may move about to speak encouragement to or pray for others. We strive to create an atmosphere of freedom.
We believe that a heart of worship is an awesome way to have an encounter with God. Our worship time may be longer than you are used to, but we know that it takes time to put aside the busyness of life, quiet your mind, and place your focus on God. We encourage you to use this time to allow God to speak to your heart as you give Him praise, honor, and glory.
Teaching
We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and applicable to our daily lives. Reading and studying the Bible is another way in which we encounter God. Our weekend teaching is focused on the message of God’s enduring love, mercy, and grace for those who receive the gift of salvation by accepting Jesus’ atoning sacrifice on the cross, and what that means practically for our daily lives here as we look forward to our eternal reward in heaven.
Not Just Kid Friendly
Encounter Life Ministries is not just kid friendly. We love kids of all ages. We feel that it is important for kids to see others worshipping the Lord and learn to do it themselves. Because of that, kids join us for the first part of service and are dismissed before the message. Kids birth through pre-K meet together with another class for kindergartners through 5th grade. Please know that those serving in our children’s ministry are background check approved and are super excited to spend time helping your kids grow in their love for and knowledge of God.
